Delimited by the Atlantic Ocean to the south and west, the Estoril Coast is just 20 km away from Lisbon and extends across four municipalities – Cascais, Sintra, Oeiras and Mafra.

The region occupies an area of approximately 20 x 40 km, from the Tagus estuary to the northern border of the municipality of Mafra where Cabo da Roca, (Cape Roca) the westernmost point of mainland Europe lies.
